Are Women Too Nice To Succeed Online

Women are born nice but some are brought up to value niceness above all else, including themselves. Is this a limiting factor in their success online. Certainly I believe it is for some of the home based businesses and small business women I know. When faced with home business ideas to skyrocket their success their is a need to evaluate how many people it could possibly upset before beginning.

OK that doesn't seem so bad right? Its just sound, ethical business sense! Well how about when put into the context of the fact that none of the people the concern is for are related, are of the same blood, or partnered in the business. In fact many are not even friends but some are competitors. This is taking niceness too far. Do you think any of the business men you so carefully consider would be so cautious about your feelings or ruthlessly take action to grow themselves rich making money online?

But now I am forced to ask myself how much is niceness and how much is fear. See I know at least one woman almost paralysed with fear about using video. She has a preconceived idea about the level of quality required. She will even argue with experts who say dodgy video sells that it needs to be a certain quality. Her fear blocking her is bad enough but being used to scare and limit the success of other women is too much.

Fear is a huge limiting factor and when mixed with niceness it is truly insidious. I don't like long copy. I never stay on a site with a lightbox. Because I don't like them maybe my customer won't like me. This is a combination of fear of trying new things and of being so nice to be concerned whether customers like me. You are not your customer and they are not your best friends. Do you really want to avoid using tools that make sales because you are afraid what other people might think. The evidence says it works!

It scares me how many women are blocked from taking action. There are so many entrepreneur opportunities online. There are women creating success using internet marketing strategies but the world stage of internet marketing is still suffering an imbalance of men.
